PPF Calculator
Project your Public Provident Fund corpus from a yearly contribution over the chosen term.
About PPF
The Public Provident Fund is a government-backed savings scheme with a 15-year lock-in (extendable in 5-year blocks). It's in the EEE category — your contribution qualifies for an 80C deduction, the interest is tax-free, and so is the maturity amount. You can invest between ₹500 and ₹1,50,000 a year.
How the corpus builds
Interest compounds annually at the government-set rate, which is reviewed every quarter. This tool adds your yearly contribution and then applies interest each year, so the balance snowballs as both your deposits and accumulated interest keep earning.
Note: the current PPF rate is editable above (default 7.1%). Actual interest is calculated on the lowest balance between the 5th and last day of each month, so depositing before the 5th earns slightly more than this annual estimate shows.
